It has a higher output than a stage dynamic mic, almost no self-noise, and a ruggedness unsurpassed in ribbon microphones.The Studio Vocalist’s high output level allows you to use it with virtually any preamp, including your favorite preamp. And you can use that output to the fullest, because we built in pro-level shielding so that radios and magnetic sources won’t get into the track.Most ribbon microphones are known for their «dark» sound, not so with the Studio Vocalist. It has a smooth rising response more like a large diaphragm condenser, but without the top end harshness.
